PENGGUNAAN METODE DISKUSI KELOMPOK TERBIMBING DALAM UPAYA MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR GEOGRAFI PADA SISWA SMAN 1 CISARUA KABUPATEN BANDUNG BARAT

Abstract

Education plays a very important role in the process of improving the quality of human resources. However, the problem of the low quality of learning still occurs and the impact on learning outcomes achieved by students. An appropriate learning method is needed to overcome these problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of guided group discussion methods in an effort to improve geography learning outcomes with the subject matter of geographic information systems in high school students 1 Cisarua, West Bandung Regency. The subjects of this study were 29 students of class XII IPS-5 SMA Negeri 1 Cisarua who were enrolled in the even semester of the 2016/2017 school year. This type of research is classroom action research. The research instrument used was an observation sheet and a test of learning outcomes. Based on data analysis, it was concluded that: 1) an increase in student activity from cycle I to cycle II using the guided group discussion method; 2) an increase in teacher teaching activity during implementing guided group discussions, and included in both categories; 3). An increase in student learning outcomes X1I IPS-5 SMA Negeri 1 Cisarua, West Bandung Regency from cycle I to cycle II. Mastery learning increased from 58% in the first cycle to 86% in the second cycle
