PENGGUNAAN ALAT IPA SEDERHANA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN SISWA DALAM MEMAHAMI KONSEP GAYA GESEK

Abstract

This research was motivated by students' low understanding of concepts in friction material, student learning activities that were less than optimal and student learning outcomes were low so that they did not meet the KKM (Minimum Completeness Criteria). The aim of this research is to find out to what extent the use of simple science tools can improve the understanding of the concept of friction for Class V MIS PUI Kaliaren students for the 2022-2023 academic year. The research method used is Classroom Action Research. The number of students is 10 people. The data collection techniques used were interviews and observation. The implementation of the learning process using simple science tools has had a positive impact in increasing students' understanding of concepts as indicated by the average value of student learning outcomes in cycle I is 63.5, cycle II 70 and cycle III 84. In addition, the average value of student activities in cycle I it was 79.77, cycle II 82.1 and cycle III 90.67. Keywords: Simple Science Tools, Understanding Concepts
