PENERAPAN MODEL KOOPERATIF TIPE NUMBER HEAD TOGETHER (NHT) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN SISWA TENTANG PELAKU EKONOMI PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPS

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that students' understanding of learning in social studies subjects, especially material about economic actors, is still relatively low. The aim of this research is to increase students' understanding of economic actors in social studies subjects through the implementation of the Number Head Together type cooperative model in class VII F of SMP Negeri 1 Ciawigebang for the 2022/2023 academic year. The method used is the classroom action research method. Based on the research results, it shows that students' grades have increased from each improvement action. The scores obtained are as follows: pre-cycle achieved a class average score of 69 and the KKM achievement was 69%, in the first cycle it achieved a class average score of 73 and the KKM achievement was 72.53%, and in the second cycle it achieved a significant increase, namely achieving a class average score of 79.03 and KKM achievement of 90%. 2) The application of the NHT type cooperative learning model can increase students' understanding of economic actors in social studies learning in Class VII F of SMP Negeri 1 Ciawigebang. The increase in students' understanding was caused by the implementation of the NHT type cooperative learning model, namely by forming study groups with heterogeneous abilities. The assignments given to students are done in groups. Keywords: Student understanding, Number Head Together type cooperative model.
